Portraits and scenes

From the beginning there has been my fascination for the portrait. Initially portraits of admired writers and artists, later also imaginary (self) portraits. This gradually broadens to more 'socially engaged' portraits and interior scenes, sometimes based on a photo, sometimes imaginary. Inspiration is drawn from the work of predecessors, from film and literature.
