Most of my paintings are based on photos from newspapers, magazines, films or virtual media. They are images that catch my attention and affect me personally. Sometimes I use details from reproductions (e.g. of an existing work of art) and add other elements, thus resulting in a new painting. Other works arise entirely from the imagination, with characters situated in an imaginary space.

I get my inspiration from the various art disciplines and more specifically 20th century modern art. I also like to refer to art history, for example through homages, studies and the processing of classical themes such as the portrait, landscape or genre.
